Course
Templates
Not everyone will upload course notes to
their website. I have participated in online courses that contained
nothing more than a Discussion Group and reference sites. The following
information is provided in the event that you do wish to provide some
course notes for your students.
Online course materials are usually organized so
that web pages on the same
topic
are clustered
together.
This grouping of similar pages is often referred to as a content module.
How you group
them is up to you in terms of whether you call them modules, weekly notes
etc. Some teachers label the grouping of pages according to a theme.
For example, an English literature course might be organized according
to Elizabethan authors, contemporary authors, etc. Would you like to
see some samples of content
module organization?
Learning Module Templates
Each part of the following templates represent at least one page in a content module.
Modules have relevance for Blackboard or any type of learning web site. In
WebCT, a variety of types of files can be entered into the Content Modules
including web pages, excel files or word files, and PDF files. Some teachers
add their PowerPoint files to this area.
