Laying the Foundation

A well developed online course has, as its foundation, sound principles of Instructional Design. The Worldwide Instructional Design system (WIDS) provides a good template for Instructional Design. If you are developing an online course, you may want to use this framework to help you establish a solid course foundation. WIDS training may be arranged through the Staff Resource Center.

Instructional Design

Instructional Design refers to a systematic approach to designing, implementing and evaluating courses.
