Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to do the following:
I . Use research, planning, revising, and editing skills.
2. Describe and analyze various views on ethics, equity, and economics,
adhering to concerns of rights/responsibilities and social
issues.
3. Describe the historical context of the social issue on which a position has been
developed, and state/explain the rhetorical bases for one's position.
4. Articulate and justify one's stance on these complex public issues.
5. Use rhetorical and other presentation strategies in delivering speeches.
6. Use vocabulary, pronunciation, phrasing, and enunciation that make the message
comprehensible to the listener.
7. Deliver speeches that are informative and/or persuasive.
8. Collaborate with colleagues in group presentation.
9. Use listening and evaluating skills.
